Description

While last leaving the Moon, the Apollo crew thought that visitors would shortly return to our satellite, and perhaps even build manned bases there. Nonetheless, it has been over 40 years since the last landing on the Moon. When will mankind return there?

It is possible that this will be achieved thanks to private companies, eager to harness the satellite’s raw material and tourist potential. The Google Lunar X-prize competition is the first step in this direction. The winning team will be the first one to land a rover on the Moon’s surface using private funds and to present photos taken by the vehicle. This film takes a closer look at the Moon and the participating teams, giving us a chance to take part in this out-of-this-world competition.
