“The first contact” — spring edition of live shows before films

Shows in our Planetarium are interactive presentations during which the audience chooses what they want to see, and the Heavens of Copernicus’ hosts talk live about the spring sky.

For over a hundred years we have been sending — both consciously and not — various signals to the nearest stars. Is there anyone out there, who receives our messages? How do we try to contact extra-terrestrial creatures? What are our chances of success? During the show we’ll take you under the domes of the world’s biggest telescopes seeking signals from remote places in the outer space, we’ll find out what information about humanity the Pioneer and Voyager explorers carry into space. We’ll also fly towards the planetary system recently discovered around the TRAPPIST-1 star and wonder whether this is the place we should send our “Hello! Is anybody there?” message to.
